Blueberry Squish the stigma.

Blueberry supports makers with learning differences to gain independence, build experience, and access meaningful employment through dedicated, hands-on support. We partnered with the organisation to create a brand from the ground up – one that reflects both its purpose and the people at its heart.

Despite growing awareness, people with learning differences still face stigma and barriers when it comes to employment and independence. Many organisations in this space communicate in ways that feel overly institutional or overly cautious – missing the chance to truly celebrate the individuals they support.

There was an opportunity to create a brand that feels positive, empowering, and human – one that challenges perceptions while giving makers a strong, confident voice. The challenge was to strike a balance between warmth and boldness, ensuring the brand feels approachable while clearly standing for change.

We built a brand that champions individuality and breaks down stigma. Central to this is the rallying call: “Squish the stigma.” A memorable and playful line that directly challenges preconceptions, while cleverly linking back to the Blueberry name.

Visually, we developed a custom wordmark alongside a distinctive ‘B’ monogram that subtly houses a blueberry – creating a simple yet ownable brand asset. The identity is designed to feel friendly, confident, and full of personality, reflecting the spirit of the makers themselves.

Across every touchpoint, the brand celebrates capability, creativity, and potential – positioning Blueberry not just as a support organisation, but as a platform for empowerment, opportunity, and lasting change.
